Resetting your password

If you have forgotten your password

On the sign-in page, select Forgot password? and enter your email address. We send a link that lets you choose a new one.

The link expires shortly, so use it when it arrives. Requesting another invalidates the previous one.

For your safety, the page says the same thing whether or not an account exists for that address. If nothing arrives, the most likely reasons are a mistyped address, or that you sign in with Google and have no password at all — see Signing in with Google.

If you have never had a password

People brought in from Harvest, Toggl or Clockify, and people added by an administrator, start without one. Use the same Forgot password? link to set your first password — despite the name, it works for an account that has never had one.

Changing a password you know

Go to your account menu → Account & security and enter your current password and the new one.

If you sign in with Google and have never set a password, there is nothing to change here — use Forgot password? to set one, after which both methods work.

Two-factor authentication

If your workspace or your account has two-factor authentication turned on, resetting a password does not turn it off; you will still be asked for a code. See Two-factor authentication.
