The hour people forget to log is the one they meant to log after the meeting, from the place they were already typing. /track puts a timesheet in that place.
/track 2h design for Acme yesterday — log time. A duration (2h, 1:30), a project, a task, and a day that defaults to today. Add non-billable when it is not./track projects — your projects and their tasks./track week — this week’s logged time. Also week last or week 2026-07-06 for a specific week./track help — the same list, in Slack.Your Slack profile email is matched against your Time Trakkr membership. Time is logged as you, with your permissions, and a Slack account whose email does not match a member cannot log anything. There is no separate Slack identity to administer, and no shared service account writing on other people’s behalf.
A single Slack workspace can be connected to more than one Time Trakkr workspace; the member is resolved within each candidate rather than assuming the first.
Every response is ephemeral. Your hours, your projects and your week appear to you alone, not to the channel you typed in. That is deliberate: a timesheet is not something to broadcast into a client channel by accident.
The Slack app asks for four scopes and uses them for exactly what they sound like: commands to receive /track, users:read to read the profile email that identifies you, and chat:write with im:write to reply.
