If your previous tracker doesn't have a one-click migration, the CSV importer covers it: every time tracker can export CSV, and the import wizard maps whatever columns yours uses. You need the owner or admin role. Find it under Settings → Import/Export.
Projects are matched by name — create them, or import a projects CSV on the same page first.
The wizard
Choose Time entries, then upload your CSV file (or paste its contents) and select Preview & map columns.
The wizard guesses which column is which — check the selects and fix any it got wrong. Email, project, date, and duration are required; task, notes, and billable are optional.
Pick the date format if your file uses US (3/2/2026) or EU (2/3/2026) dates. Durations work as decimals (1.5), clock format (1:30), or export format (01:30:00).
Review the preview and the count of rows that will be skipped (bad emails, dates, or durations are listed after the import with row numbers).
Select Import — large files are sent in batches with progress.
Notes
Rows land as regular unlocked entries, as if typed in — approvals and reports treat them normally.
Re-importing the same file creates duplicates (CSV rows carry no stable id) — import once, or delete and retry.
Toggl and Clockify users: prefer the one-click Toggl and Migrate from Clockify cards, which are idempotent and bring clients/projects/people too.
