Time Trakkr for Toggl Track
Time Trakkr connects to Toggl Track with an API token to import your setup and your whole time history, in two steps that are safe to run again.
What it does
Your setup firstClients, projects, tasks and people arrive in step one, matched to anyone already in your workspace by email.
Then every hour ever loggedStep two backfills time entries in the background, with an only-before date so nothing double-counts.
Safe to run againRecords are matched and updated in place, and entries that already exist are skipped.
Your edits winA field you changed here is never overwritten. Disagreements are listed under Kept your version.
How to set it up
- An owner or admin opens Integrations and finds Migrate from Toggl Track.
- Paste the API token from Toggl Track’s Profile Settings and select Connect. If it reaches more than one workspace, pick one.
- Select 1 · Import clients, projects, tasks & people.
- Select 2 · Backfill time entries. It runs in the background; clear the only-before date to import everything.
- Invite the people who should sign in from Team when you are ready.
What it won’t do
- Let imported people sign in on their own. Active Toggl members arrive as invited members; deactivated ones arrive disabled, with their history attached.
- Overwrite a change you made in Time Trakkr, or duplicate anything on a re-run.
- Import tags on entries.
- Import invoices, expenses or approvals. Toggl has none to import.

What happens to entries with no task?
Every project gets a Tracked time task that catches them, because Toggl tasks are a paid feature and many entries have none.
How long does the backfill take?
Toggl’s API allows about one request per second, so many years of history can take a while. You get an email when it finishes.
