What it does

Ask in plain languageTracked time, budgets and profitability, answered from your own workspace rather than a summary someone exported.

How to set it up

  1. Open Integrations in Time Trakkr and copy the server URL from the Connect your AI (MCP) card: https://timetrakkr.com/api/mcp.
  2. In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste the URL.
  3. Sign in to Time Trakkr when prompted, and choose read-only or read/write access on the consent screen.

What it won’t do

  • Send an invoice. Claude can only create a draft, which you review and send yourself.
  • See more than you can. Every call carries your role and is scoped to your workspace.
  • Change anything if you approved read-only access.
  • Use an Anthropic key of ours or yours. Claude runs on your own Claude account, and Time Trakkr never calls Anthropic for it.

Questions about Claude

Is the Claude connection read-only?

You choose. The consent screen offers read-only or read/write access, and you can disconnect at any time.

Can I use an API key instead of signing in?

Yes, as a Bearer header, but over MCP an organization key is read-only and belongs to the organization rather than a person. To change anything from Claude, connect with OAuth.

Will Claude see my team's rates?

Only if you can. Members never see rates or other money in Claude, just as in the app.

Is this the same as the assistant inside Time Trakkr?

No. The in-app assistant runs on our Anthropic account, or on your own key if an admin adds one. Claude connected over MCP is your own assistant, on your own Claude account.
