What it does

Daily, weekly or monthlyEach destination has its own cadence, and Run now exports immediately.
CSVs plus a manifestOne CSV per table, and a manifest.json listing what was included and what was withheld, with a reason for each.
Retention you setKeep as many archives as you like. Older ones are removed after each successful upload.
Failures are loudThe card shows the last run, last success and most recent error, and owners and admins are emailed when a destination starts failing.

How to set it up

  1. Open Settings → Backups.
  2. Connect Google Drive and approve access.
  3. Add a destination and choose its cadence and how many archives to keep.
  4. Select Run now to check it straight away.

What it won’t do

  • See the rest of your Drive. It uses the drive.file scope, so it can only see files it created.
  • Export personal HR data. Compensation, reviews, leave, employee profiles and documents are withheld, and the manifest says so.
  • Export credentials. OAuth tokens and webhook signing secrets never leave Time Trakkr.
  • Run at an hour you pick. A destination keeps roughly the time of day of its first run, checked hourly.

Questions about Google Drive

What happens when a backup fails?

The destination shows its most recent error, and the first failure in a streak emails the owners and admins. A destination the provider no longer accepts is marked as needing to be reconnected.

How do I reconnect without losing the schedule?

Select Reconnect on the destination’s card. Do not remove and re-add it: reconnecting keeps its schedule, retention and run history.

Is a missed run skipped?

No. A destination that was paused or failing becomes due again on the next hourly check, rather than waiting a whole cadence.

Can the assistant run a backup?

It can report every destination’s status and run an existing one now. Creating a destination or changing its cadence stays in Settings.
