The Time Trakkr CLI

The @timetrakkr/cli package on npm is the command line for the Time Trakkr agent plugins: it signs a machine in and shows how agent time is being recorded.

FreeEarly release

What it does

Sign in from a terminaltimetrakkr login opens your browser to pick a workspace. logout revokes the sign-in.
See what is tracked, and whytimetrakkr status names the rule that applies to this directory, and the last error if there was one.
Pause a sessiontimetrakkr off and on stop and resume tracking for the current agent session.
Record an estimatetimetrakkr estimate notes how long the work would take a person, shown beside the agent’s time and never billed.

How to set it up

  1. Install the Claude Code or Codex plugin. The CLI is bundled with it, at the same version.
  2. Run npx @timetrakkr/cli login, pick your workspace and press Allow access.
  3. Run npx @timetrakkr/cli status in a repository to check what it is tracked to.
  4. On a machine with no browser, set TIMETRAKKR_URL and TIMETRAKKR_TOKEN to a personal access token created with Agent time only.

What it won’t do

  • Record anything by itself. Time is measured by the hooks a plugin installs.
  • Read or change your time entries, reports or invoices. Its sign-in can only report agent time and read repository rules.
  • Send anything about the machine but its hostname, which names the sign-in under Connected apps.

Questions about Time Trakkr CLI

How long does a sign-in last?

It renews itself and lapses after 30 days without use. It is kept in an owner-only file under ~/.timetrakkr.

Where do I look when time is missing?

A problem shows up as missing time, never as an error in your agent. ~/.timetrakkr/hook.log has anything the plugin could not do.
