A conversation with the assistant is private to you. When one turns out to matter to somebody else — you asked about a client's margins, or worked out why a project ran over — you can share it with a teammate rather than screenshotting it or explaining it again.
They get an email with a link, and the conversation appears in their own Shared with me list.
You can only share with active members of your organization. Someone who has been invited but has never signed in, or whose access has been disabled, will not appear in the picker — they could not open the conversation anyway.
A shared conversation is read-only. They can read the whole transcript and see which tools the assistant used, but they cannot add to it, and nothing runs on their behalf when they open it.
If they want to carry on from where you left off, they can click Start my own chat from here. That makes their own private copy. Anything they ask afterwards runs with their access, not yours, and you never see it.
This is the part worth understanding before you use it.
A transcript is a frozen record of what the assistant found when you asked, using your access. Sharing it hands that record over as it stands. If the assistant looked up something the other person cannot normally open, sharing the conversation shows it to them anyway.
That is deliberate — it is the same as pasting the conversation into a chat message, which nothing prevents either. But it means sharing is a decision, not a formality. The dialog says so each time, and every share and removal is written to your organization's audit log.
If a conversation touched something sensitive, start a fresh one for the part you actually want to send.
Open the share dialog again and click Remove beside their name. They lose access immediately and the conversation disappears from their Shared with me list.
Access also ends on its own when:
You can ask the assistant to share a conversation, but it will not do it for you. It returns a link to the share dialog and stops there.
This is on purpose. Sharing can disclose data the recipient cannot otherwise see, and the assistant is reachable from Slack and from external AI clients where the warning above cannot be shown. A person confirms every share, on the page, every time.
The assistant can tell you what has been shared with you — ask it to list your shared conversations.
